The Road Ahead Project started with a simple idea: stop waiting for the “right time” to live and start making memories now.
I’m a mom, student, and everyday person trying to build a life with a little more freedom, adventure, and time for the things that actually matter. What started with road trips has turned into learning how to travel farther, camp smarter, spend less, and eventually create a life where we can hit the road without needing everything perfectly figured out first.
This isn't polished, picture-perfect travel. It's wrong turns, long drives, budget finds, places worth stopping for, gear we actually use, and figuring things out along the way.
We don't have the whole road mapped out—and that's kind of the point.
